The Honors of the Association may be presented to any individual
upon recommendation of this committee and approval by three-fourths
of the Board. This award recognizes distinguished contribution
to the field of speech, language and hearing and is the highest
Honor the Association can give.
Members are encouraged to nominate individuals who are known throughout
Iowa for significant and extensive contributions. Contributions to the
field may include: innovative clinical practice, insightful and rigorous
research, creative administration, effective legislative activity,
outstanding teaching, dedication to the professions of Speech-Language
Pathology and Audiology, or other distinguished lifetime professional
activities. Contributions to ISHA may include services as officer,
committee chair, vice president, ex-officio board member, committee
member, or resource person.
The nominee shall be a long-term regular member in good standing.
Nomination requires sponsorship by an ISHA member and co-sponsorship
by an individual who has received Honors of the Association.

Honors of the Association which are presented to non-members shall be
presented as Outstanding Service Award. See criteria listed above.
