About ISHA Advocacy Day
Each year, SLPs and AUDs from across the state join together to advocate on behalf of the profession and patients in Iowa. This is a great way to get involved in the legislative process, meet with colleagues and work to better the practice environment in the state.
You will have the opportunity to meet with YOUR legislators one-on-one or in groups, with others in your district. This process allows you to educate your state leaders and express your concerns and what's most important to our profession.
Now is the time for everyone to identify your representative and senator and make contact with them. It is crucial to start a relationship with these individuals now, before there is any specific piece of legislation that you contact them about.
